Reimagining the Irish Flag as A Shocking Symbol of Veteran Homelessness

Problem:

O.N.E. are a veteran support service that look to keep former service members (veterans) from becoming homeless. They offer a limited number of rooms and support in their hostel in Dublin but desperately needed funding and government support to help them expand their facilities across the country.

Idea:

We looked to confront the pride the nation had in their country and national flag, with the shame of veterans, those who served the Irish flag so well, ending up sleeping on the streets of our nation.

Execution:

Introducing Sleeping Flags - sleeping bags, the item most synonymous with homelessness, made in the image of the tricolour of Ireland. These sleeping flags were used on the streets of the capital to bring attention to the plight of our proud veterans.
